Building of foundational skills
Students are taught the basics of musical and singing skills explicitly. By the end of the year, they should be able to sing simple songs independently.

Leadership training
Leadership training is provided by allowing students to take on simple tasks. Students with strong potential as leaders are also identified.
Intensive practice for SYF
Students refine their singing techniques through participation in the SYF Central Judging.
School performances
Students develop confidence in choral singing and showmanship skills through school performances. - Sec 3

Student leaders are delegated heavier duties like planning for ad-hoc activities and taking over sectional training of the juniors.

School and public performances
Students are given platforms to showcase their skills through school and public performances. Selected students may also represent the school to participate in choral festivals to interact with choir members from other schools and benchmark their skills. - Sec 4/5

Appreciate the gift of music
It is hoped that by the end of four years, students would experience the joy of singing and appreciate the gift of music as a lifelong skill.

Choir is a CCA that allows its members to have fun and acquire basic music skills and vocal techniques. Students are given opportunities to develop musically and hone their skills through participation in school events and public performances. Participation in the SYF Central Judging also allows students to benchmark their skills with other choirs and gain a wider perspective. Ultimately, the CCA hopes to promotes the gift of music as a lifelong skill.
Our objectives are:
- To develop life-long friendship amongst members.
- To learn basic music and vocal skills.
- To showcase students’ talents in school events and public performances
- To participate and represent the school in the Singapore Youth Festival.
- To promote and appreciate the gift of music as a lifelong skill.
