OUR MISSION, SHARED VISION & BELIEFS
Our Mission
To develop our Cadets into Caring and Responsible Citizens.
Our Shared Vision
To mould the Builders of a Safe and Secure Home.
Our Beliefs
In accordance with our Mission and observing our Objectives, we believe that our association with the National Police Cadet Corps will:
- ENSURE our growth by exposing us to a challenging environment, which, in turn will imbibe us with leadership qualities, strong character and civic, social and moral values.
- ENLIGHTEN us on the role of the Singapore Police Force, help to build a stronger bond of friendship with them, and so lead to a safer place for all in the country.
- As part of a culture that encourages us to treat fellow cadets with respect, courtesy and tact, TEACH us to extend the same care and concern to others.
- As a result of our identification with the Singapore Police Force, TEACH us to adopt its tradition of high standards of performance, commitment, duty and service, to seek to excel and to face up to challenge.
TRAINING & DEVELOPMENT
The NPCC Training Framework is founded on the 6As Learning Path, which charts the progressive training direction for NPCC members. It also identifies the five Core Training Areas and the desired training outcomes, which include the development of NPCC members:
- to be morally upright citizens who are law abiding,
- to be citizens who possess integrity,
- to be selfless individuals who contribute to the safety and security of the community,
- to be resilient individuals who persevere in adverse and rugged contexts,
- to demonstrate traits of leadership,
- to be entrepreneurial and global in outlook so that they can adapt to changing contexts.
NPCC 6As Learning Path
The 6As Learning Path depicts the progressive learning of a cadet as a new recruit at Secondary One till the time he serves as an officer. Along the way he gains self-awareness in Secondary One, begins to interact with his peers and acquires new skills in Secondary Two, gets his first taste of leadership in Secondary Three, steps out and aspires to lead and serve the unit and the Corps in Secondary Four, leads others and achieves skills and knowledge competencies as a Youth Leader, and develops others as he aims to nurture as an NPCC Officer.
